Making an Impact with Deferred Giving

Making an Impact with Deferred Giving

Randy E. Trahan did not attend classes at Lamar University, but he is still a member of the LU family. Randy is a proud member of the Friends of the Arts, and most of his dearest friends are connected to Lamar University in some capacity. He has been familiar with LU for some time and says the more he learns about LU, the more impressed he becomes. In particular, Randy is impressed that LU is committed to student success by empowering students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in their professional and personal lives.

"I want to invest in people and help provide the opportunity for them to do something meaningful with their lives. An education from Lamar University helps people build a future," Randy said.

Randy loves the idea of making an impactful gift to Lamar University, but he also recognizes the importance of having adequate funds for the remainder of his life. He has chosen to include a bequest to Lamar University in his estate plans. Randy said, "I like knowing that when the time comes, Lamar University will use my gifts to enrich people's lives through education so they can make a difference in our world."
